It's the weigh forward...

Equine care is evolving and weighing your horse has never been so important, we aim to "bridge the gap in equine health care"

Having worked closely alongside vets and other welfare organisations, it became apparent that the weigh tape was not sufficient in monitoring weight gain or loss in equines.  Whilst in the past the weigh tape had its place, affordable accurate weighing is more beneficial in the modern equine care routine.

Through our own examples using the 'Weigh Tape Challenge' it highlighted that the weighbridge was the most effective method of weighing and in some cases it highlighted a significant variance of over 50kg! when compared to a weigh tape.

We recommend weighing your horses at least 4 times per year (3 months apart) at minimum.  If your horse has weight issues, then monthly is more beneficial until your horse has achieved his/her ideal weight.  Please seek veterinary advice if you have concerns over your horses weight.

What we offer:

  • We offer a fully insured, mobile weighing service
  • We will provide each of our clients a 'Weight Record Card' to record your horses details, dates and weights
  • We will inform your registered Veterinary Surgery* of your horses latest weigh-in for their records

What we don't offer:

  • We don't offer nutritional advice
  • We don't sell or promote any feed brands

*Subject to owners approval
